The Garden at Stanwell House is now open for the summer, returning as locals’ go-to spot for long lunches, sunset drinks, and leisurely outdoor dining in the heart of Lymington.
This year, we’re proud to announce a partnership with Joseph Perrier Champagne, pairing exceptional champagne with The Garden’s relaxed summer atmosphere. Explore Mediterranean-inspired dining, seasonal cocktails, and perfectly chilled beverages.

Tucked away behind the hotel’s historic walls, this beautifully re-imagined garden space at Stanwell House has been designed for easy summer living. Think deck chairs, soft blankets, fire pits for cooler evenings, and plenty of space to settle in from afternoon through to evening.
Whether you’re dropping by for a spontaneous glass of fizz in the sunshine, gathering friends for dinner, or lingering over cocktails as the evening unfolds, The Garden brings together the laid-back spirit of the coast with the charm of the New Forest.

The drinks offering, led by Joseph Perrier Champagne, sits at the heart of the experience, complemented by crisp rosé, refreshing Spritz cocktails, and perfectly chilled beers, all made for easy outdoor enjoyment.
The menu takes inspiration from the Mediterranean, with small plates designed for sharing, grilled seafood, fresh flatbreads, seasonal salads, and sunshine-filled dishes made for relaxed, sociable dining. At the centre of it all is the custom grill and pizza oven, serving bold summer flavours throughout the season.

Do you just serve Champagne?
We do recommend pairing summer indulgence with Joseph Perrier Champagne; however, our drinks list is equally as generous. Savour crisp wines, botanical cocktails, chilled rosé, or a choice of spritzes made for long afternoons in the sun.
Do I need to book a table for The Garden, or do you accept walk-ins?
We only welcome walk-ins for The Garden for drinks and for food.
Can I host a private event or party in The Garden?

Are there vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options available?

Yes, we have free live music in The Garden every Friday from the 5th of June, and DJ sets every Sunday from the 7th of June, no need for a ticket.
