Children's Summer Yoga
Yoga, Mindfulness and Wellbeing for Children
This August, join us for two special children’s yoga and mindfulness sessions in the garden at Stanwell House, taking place on Wednesdays 13th and 27th August at 12:30pm.
Led by Lisa from Calm Waves, a qualified and experienced children’s yoga and mindfulness teacher, each session is designed for children aged 4 years and up, offering a playful and nurturing introduction to movement, breath, and relaxation.
With a gentle theme of nature and kindness, children will begin with a sensory “nature-senses” scavenger hunt to spark curiosity and connection with the world around them. This is followed by a fun and calming yoga practice, combining basic yoga poses and mindful movement to help build strength, balance, and flexibility.
Children will explore imagery breathing techniques and mindfulness games that support emotional awareness and focus. During circle-time, they’ll be introduced to simple self-care tools, including calming massage techniques designed to soothe the nervous system. The session ends with a peaceful, guided relaxation, leaving little ones feeling calm, happy, and grounded.
Sessions will take place in our beautiful garden, offering a peaceful outdoor setting to stretch, breathe, and unwind. In the event of wet weather, the sessions will take place in our beautiful, indoor events space.
Each session costs £10 per child, and spaces are limited, so booking is essential.
We ask that a parent or guardian remains in the garden area during the session. You’re welcome to sit back and relax while enjoying 10% off food and drink from our menu, available throughout the session and immediately afterwards.
A warm and welcoming experience to inspire calm, confidence, and creativity this summer at Stanwell House.
