Salt Bar is open to all; step straight in from the High Street, welcoming residents settling in for the evening and non-residents just passing through Lymington and the New Forest. Pop in for a light bite or settle in for a casual feast after a busy day.
Relaxed and informal, our comfortable yet stylish bar features exposed brick walls, a crackling log burner, and warm décor with soft furnishings that come together to create a truly cosy atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to linger over a glass of something special, share an excellent bottle of wine or simply curl up with a good book by the fire.
Salt Bar is the ideal spot to slow down and enjoy the moment, any time of day, wherever your day has taken you.

Our Menus
Our bar and drinks menu is updated to reflect the changing seasons and to include the freshest ingredients. From mocktails and classic cocktails such as an Old-Fashioned or Espresso Martini to a range of spirits and liqueurs, to something with a little bit of a twist.

Situated right on the high street of Lymington, our Salt Bar is the perfect place to grab a drink. Lymington is full of trinket shops, bakeries and market stalls perfect for a browse. We are located close to the harbour, and with so many beautiful coastal walks, a stroll along the water is the perfect way to build up an appetite before heading back to Stanwell for a well-earned pint or glass of wine.

What are your opening times?
Our bar is open from 11am until 11pm, to warm up with a cup of tea or coffee and end with a tipple before bed.
Do I need to book a table for the Salt Bar?
Salt Bar operates on a walk-in-only basis for both hotel residents and non-residents. Just pop in whenever you’re ready; no booking required.
Are dogs allowed in the bar?
Yes, our Salt Bar is dog friendly, so bring your dog after a long walk in the New Forest or Isle of Wight.
Is parking available?
While we don’t have private guest parking directly attached, town car parks such as Canon Street East and High Street parking options are located nearby within a short walk, as well as taxis and a 5-minute walk from the train station.
Are children allowed in the bar?
We do have a policy that children are allowed in the bar until 9pm, however, if the bar is quiet and/or children are well-behaved, then they can join you until close.
