Embroidery with Chrissie
Take a couple of hours to slow down and get creative at this relaxed beaded embroidery workshop with Chrissie from Cloud Juno, a New Forest based maker, designed for anyone keen to try something new or simply enjoy a mindful, hands on experience. Suitable for both beginners and seasoned stitchers, this friendly session will introduce you to a range of bead and thread stitches, using a selection of beads to create delicate floral designs.
Bead embroidery is both soothing and accessible, making it an enjoyable way to explore your creativity while crafting something beautifully intricate. With guidance throughout, you will play with colour, texture and pattern, gradually bringing your own design to life.
By the end of the workshop, you will have created a beaded floral motif, which can be cut out and finished as a brooch or decorative button, perfect to keep or give as a thoughtful handmade piece.
You will be welcomed with a glass of bubbles, with hot drinks available as you work. The session finishes with a homemade cream tea served with jam, lemon curd and clotted cream, an indulgent end to a calm and creative morning. Just bring yourself, and glasses if you need them, and enjoy a gently paced, creative escape.
