St Barbe Museum + Art Gallery

Located at the heart of the beautiful, historic coastal market town of Lymington, St Barbe is both a dynamic museum and highly regarded art gallery that appeals to both locals and New Forest visitors.

The museum explores the history of Lymington and the New Forest Coast, inspired by local pride, and supported by the local community, its collections and colourful, hands-on displays offer a fascinating insight into the area for all ages.

St Barbe Museum + Art Gallery is an independent charity dedicated to enriching lives through the transformative power of visual arts and heritage. As of May 2025, we are proud to annouce that we are now a Premier Partner of St Barbe Museum + Art Gallery. This partnership gives us a a meaningful way to support their work while aligning with our corporate and social responsibility goals.

Through its diverse programs, St Barbe engages with schools, young people, people with dementia and artists. Partnerships help sustain initiatives like the neurodiverse art group, toddler sessions and award-winning HAF programme for low-income families, fostering connection, wellbeing and creativity.

On Sunday 24th May, 2pm–6pm, St Barbe Open Gardens 2026 will see a collection of private gardens across Lymington, including Stanwell House, open to the public for a special afternoon in support of the museum and gallery.
